Trips like that are always a challenge, but since having Teagan it’s only gotten more challenging. Between reservations that allow toddlers, sleep schedules and food there’s a lot that goes it not taking a toddler overseas. But this was our second summer taking him, so I’m here to tell you it IS possible (here are some products I stand by to help)!

My husband, Teagan, and I brought along two friends to experience some of the beauty and culture Italy has to offer. We spent 4 nights in Capri and our 5th and final night in Rome.

After 9 hours of traveling, we checked into our Air BnB and hit the ground running with The DIOR Capri Riccio Pop-up being one our first stops.

Everything about it is quintessentially Italian: the restaurants line the streets at night, the city is filled with museums + galleries, the house work is hundreds of years old, you can find the flagship stores of most Italian designers, there’s always live music playing in the street, and the people are carefree + friendly.

Whenever I find myself in Italy, I always try to make my way to Florence… even if just for a couple of days.

This was my third time visiting this magical city, but my husband really wanted to introduce this special place to the kids and was really adamant that they got to see it…even if ever so briefly!

We flew in late the night before our visit and took the train out to Florence early one morning, so we really only spent one full day there.

Because we’re fully vaccinated and itching for a little adventure, we’ve planned to leave the country at the end of July (just in time for me to beat third-trimester flying restrictions).

To say I’m excited would be an understatement. Before 2020 we were blessed enough to take a family vacation to Europe every summer, but back in 2019 we actually crossed the pond a couple of times.
