Christmas Day is near, and I’m really proud to say that I started purchasing gifts much earlier this year than I typically do. And that’s because I have a toddler that is truly anticipating the holiday for the first time. And because he’s finding the magic in everything, there is just so much excitement in the air. To say I’m excited just to be with him on Christmas morning is an understatement!

I’ve been dreaming about this moment since last Christmas! Though I’m adamant on “no Christmas decor until after Thanksgiving”, last year we didn’t decorate our Lowcountry home for Christmas and I’ve been imagining a tree overlooking the river ever since. 

And wow it was worth the wait! Not only did I find the perfect decor to complement our coastal oasis, it happened just in time for Teagan to start comprehending the holiday season and all the magic it brings!

The first room in our Charleston home is complete, thanks to Annie Selke’s creative pieces! It was such an exciting feeling watching this room come to life, and I can’t wait to see how the rest of our home comes together!

There are four bedrooms upstairs: two that I’ve dedicated as “kids’ rooms” and two (with the view of the Stono) that are for adults. Though this is one of those adult rooms, I still really wanted to play with color and we have no pink rooms in Columbia so I felt like I deserved one.
