I would say it’s hard to believe we have a 3 year old on our hands (because honestly– where does time go?!), but we’ve been experiencing a new level of tantrums and the start of the threenager phase ..so I can comfortably say we are in the midst of the toddler years. But these will become the good ol’ days, right?!!

Nevertheless, I’m always going to celebrate the little boy that changed my life whenever his birthday comes around!

Last week Red Dress hosted their latest Dream Drop in Charleston and it was the most elegant + realistic Bridgerton-themed part you could ever imagine. Popping up all over the William Aiken House in Charleston, this event did not skip a beat when it came to every detail.

We entered through a flower-adorned archway and were immediately offered champagne by a man on stilts. This moment set the scene for the rest of the afternoon and the extravagance that was waiting for us!

We bid farewell to summer with our annual trip to Martha’s Vineyard this past week. It’s hard to believe that the boys’ start school tomorrow, and that I’ll be giving birth sooo soon.

We love visiting The Vineyard this time year because the first couple of weeks in August are kinda like an HBCU reunion. It’s filled with parties, comedy shows, long days at The Inkwell, and even a film festival, which makes it a great time from start to finish.

Last weekend felt like the old days. Ya know.. the ones that existed before the Coronavirus. It was jam packed with in-person events with large groups of people. I co-hosted a fundraiser at the Gibbes Museum, celebrated the lives of two people who brought joy to so many and attended a branded event, a PGA party, and the 86th annual Carolina Cup!

Last year, the Carolina Cup was the very first event (in our lives) to be cancelled due to the virus outbreak.

Babe + I just booked our first European trip in over a year. Because we’re fully vaccinated and itching for a little adventure, we’ve planned to leave the country at the end of July (just in time for me to beat third-trimester flying restrictions).

To say I’m excited would be an understatement. Before 2020 we were blessed enough to take a family vacation to Europe every summer, but back in 2019 we actually crossed the pond a couple of times.

We spent the last few days in the beautiful DR celebrating my babes’ birthday with a small group of friends! After having to cancel our trip to Cancun due to the hurricane, we made a quick pivot to the Capcana neighborhood in Punta Canta and I’m sooo happy we did.

This was my very first time visiting The DR and I loved every moment. We stayed at the Hyatt Zilara, an adult-only resort, that offered a safe, 5-star experience.

I wanted to conclude my Cuba series with a few notes that may be helpful before you travel to Cuba for the first time. I’ve also shared a photo diary of a few more pictures that you haven’t already seen!

• The island of Cuba has three international airports located throughout the island, but I recommend flying into Havana. Its the capitol and, in my opinion, the most important city of the country (although not the only important city).
