It’s been a whirlwind of a month already, but the real festivities have yet to begin! We’re only a few days away from Christmas and if I’m being completely honest– beneath our Christmas Tree is totally empty! Between my bachelorette party + the wedding, I haven’t had a chance to purchase anything for anyone. Todd is notorious for waiting until Christmas Eve to shop, but I have at least have a list of what to buy for whom written down.

To say this year has been difficult would be an understatement. I think we’ve all been pushed to our limits in ways we didn’t even know were possible. But I was raised to believe that everything happens for a reason, and even during the struggle + the bad times, there is a lesson that makes that makes you stronger..and possibly the whole circumstance worth it.

This Thanksgiving looks soo different! I’m not gathering with my family around my Grandma’s dining room table, enjoying all of the dishes I’ve come to expect from the holiday, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wake up with this immense feeling of gratitude.

You expect the holidays to be filled with magic and surprises, but never did I expect to find myself mingling in the East Wing of the White House during one of the Obama’s last Christmas parties. Pure magic! From the moment I stepped foot on property I knew it would be one of those lifetime experiences that I’ll look back on, much later in life, and be even more proud about it than I am right now.
