I can imagine how frustrating that is, especially since you had such an established one back at school. Starting over is hard, but here are a few suggestions: 1. Join Young Professional Groups for local organizations (COR would be a great one) 2. Invite people you know out to lunch, coffee, or drinks after work– networking doesn’t have to be official, it just has to be a connection and sometimes low-keys events helps you connect even more. 3. Don’t be afraid to show up to events alone. I do it ALL the time. It forces you to introduce yourself to people! So if you see something happening– GO!!!

1. Trust your instincts, follow your gut always.
2. Give yourself and others grace- I always say I never make mistakes, I only learn lessons- I just try not to repeat the lesson!
3. Be honest and transparent with yourself and your clients; maintain your integrity and keep your word.
4. Encourage growth in everyone around you, especially when you become an employer. I learned early on that no one will stay at my company forever and that’s ok- I honor their contributions and encourage their next steps with an open heart.
5. Evolution is required to maintain longevity in business- never stop growing and learning about yourself, others, your craft. Your passion will evolve as you evolve.
