Help us turn Williams-Brice Stadium PINK

This year, the SoP team wanted to ensure that we are doing our part to bring awareness to local causes and organizations throughout South Carolina, so we’ll be making a concerted effort to regularly highlight various groups who’s mission aligns with our values.

Last year our founder donated to and attend the annual Cola Rosé Shower, an event held at the home of Gamecock football, William-Brice Stadium. This even transforms one of our state’s most masculine symbols, into a vision of support for women’s health.

The Cola Rosé Shower is a community event, established by Deonna Wylie, dedicated to celebrating women and raising awareness women’s healthcare issues, like period poverty.

According to the latest Period.org research, one in three (37%) women in the United States have experienced period poverty in their lifetime which may require them to make a decision between purchasing food or product periods…in the United States of America…WTFFFF! Specially, in South Carolina, 1 in 5 women and girls between the age of 12 and 44 live below the Federal Poverty Line. One in four students struggle to purchase period products. This can lead to embarrassment, depression, and even unhealthy substitution of products.

This event invites women and supporters to wear pink, celebrate health, and donate feminine products to benefit the Sistercare Women’s Shelter. It also provides unity and visibility for women facing health challenges like fibroids, cancer, infertility, and menopause.

SoP is excited to support The Cola Rosé Shower once again this year! We are ask our audience’s help with donations of feminine products. We need: pads, tampons, panty liners, hygiene wipes, period underwear, or over-the-counter pain relievers. If you’re local to Columbia, you can schedule a time to drop them off at our HQ (the perfect opportunity to take a peek inside if you ever wanted one)!!! Email ariana@shadesofpinck.com to set up a time before February 5,2025.

If you aren’t local, or don’t have time to purchase products, we’re excepting monetary donations that we’ll use to make purchases. These donations can be made via PayPal, Venmo, Cashapp or Zelle. These donations will need to be collected by February 4, 2025. You can email ariana@shadesofpinck.com for more information.

As a thank you to everyone who participates, each donation will come with an exclusive SoP x The Silent Book Club bookmark that will only otherwise be available to that event’s attendees.

Each participant will also be entered into a weekly giveaway for an Old Whaling Co bath bomb to enhance your own self-care experience! We’ll choose one winner on: 1/18, 1/24, 2/1 and 2/8
