The first room in our Charleston home is complete, thanks to Annie Selke’s creative pieces! It was such an exciting feeling watching this room come to life, and I can’t wait to see how the rest of our home comes together!
There are four bedrooms upstairs: two that I’ve dedicated as “kids’ rooms” and two (with the view of the Stono) that are for adults. Though this is one of those adult rooms, I still really wanted to play with color and we have no pink rooms in Columbia so I felt like I deserved one. The overall theme of the house is a modern twist on tradition, so when I came across this colorful rug, I immediately fell in love. Also felt like these accent tables reminded me of something we would have seen during the middle of the 20th century.
My attempt at gaining a “pink” room came from this duvet + matching pillow cases. Loved that they were full pink without being annoying or juvenile.
I seriously cannot wait to start spending night at this house, but am really looking forward to having guests join us!
Wow! This duvet cover is to die for. I just love the combination of print patterns. I want to be a guest in this room!
