So if you really want to know why I think flying business class to Asia is well worth the cost you’re going to have to read my article from last week’s NY Amsterdam News! (Shameless self-promotion…sorry, not sorry!)
If you’ve read it… here’s a more in-depth look at that experience (which I believe every traveler should have on their bucket list):
China Airlines Boeing-777
Business class cabins consist of reverse herringbone seats in a 1-2-1 configuration
Personal pod upon boarding
The fully-stocked self-service bar that’s located in-between both business class cabins
FULLY STOCKED!
Seriously in search of the room spray used in the lavatories on board!
The toiletries given to business class passengers.
The products I couldn’t live without! (Most things from my fave beauty store, Pout!)
Settled in my pod!
The slippers they provided were perfect for slipping on over my fuzzy socks everytime I left my pod
Asian custom to offer an oshibori, (often hot) wet towel to guests especially before they dine
Before dinner appetizer with the same bubbly served at Will + Kate’s wedding
Midnight snack: hot herbal tea, chicken soup with cordyceps flower + Dim sim (shrimp rice roll, vegetable dumpling, chicken siew mai
Dinner appetizer: prawn with salmon roe and fish roe + garden salad
Dinner: braised short ribs inked wine sauce with potato au gratin, baby carrots, broccoli, and mini red bell peppers
Breakfast: butternut squash omelet with bacon and potato wedges, croissant, cinnamon swirl, and yoghurt
As breakfast was being served, I opened my window to a breathtakingly beautiful sight!
The Eastern hemisphere’s sunrise is remarkable! #nofilter
Started that day with Vogue, a mimosa, and an unforgettable sunrise!
Breakfast: butternut squash omelet with bacon and potato wedges, croissant, cinnamon swirl, and yoghurt
China Airlines Flagship Lounge in Taipei:
The entrance in the a lounge that felt more like a mystical dwelling than a room in an airport.
This window provided the only natural light in the lounge. Therefore, the green plants were mesmerizing. It felt as if we were relaxing between the trunk of the tree and its leaves.
A true lounge setting.
A cozy and intimate setting.
Buffet is continuously kept fresh thanks to an on-site chef making classic Asian favorites in an exposed kitchen
Dining tables + chairs that elicit the same feeling as the sofas
Beers + Sodas!
Liquors, wines + coffee, tea
What more could you want out of an airport restroom that you’ll shower in?
