Since its creation, it has become an annual celebration of fashion, is attended by who’s who of the industry, and is watched live by millions of people around the world. The Met Gala serves as a charity event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and marks the opening of the museum’s annual fashion exhibition.

As lovers of fashion here at SoP we can’t wait to see what designers send down the runway each season. NYFW’s Fall/Winter shows just wrapped last week and let’s just say… it lived up to the hype!! Last season was the first to return to all in-person shows, but this season proved that the  fashion industry is back in full force and ready for everything life has to offer this upcoming season. Many designers like Sergio Hudson and Tanya Taylor emphasized everyday wearability, while other designers like Christopher John Rogers and LoveShackFancy followed a more whimsical and upscale theme.

In 2022 we saw the explosion of the cowgirl boot trend everywhere: on the runways, at college football games, and of course all over Instagram. Fast forward to 2023, and we’re pretty sure they’re here to stay.

It didn’t take much for us to hop on the trend too once we discovered the perfect boots designed by Lizzy of City Boots. If you haven’t heard of them chances are you’ve seen them because her styles have been featured everywhere (and knocked-off constantly) and that’s because she’s effortlessly intertwined traditional techniques with an ultra-feminine style.
