Brunch at Tazza Kitchen

If there were a “Best French Toast of All Time” contest, it’s safe to say I’d be a very qualified judge. Perhaps even over qualified. I’ve had my share of French Toast and I’ve cooked my share of French Toast. Needless to say, I know French Toast.

So when I decided to eat brunch at the new restaurant Tazza Kitchen (formally Cafe Caturra) in Trenholm Plaza this morning for the very first time, I chose the French Toast. If I can trust you with my French Toast, I can trust you with any dish. Unexpectedly, Tazza Kitchen far surpassed even my wildest expectations. It was amazing, rivaling some of the best French Toast dishes I’ve had in NYC, Miami, and Chicago. Honestly it may have become my favorite (that is, until I venture to France and have real French Toast).

But like the manager, Phillip, pointed out to me, they do brunch only once a week, and lunch/dinner seven… I’ll definitely be back to try dishes from the menu they perfect on a daily basis.
