If watching ICE kill Americans and listening to the government completely contradict the video evidence isn’t pissing you off— then you’re being too f-ing nice!!!

A future matriarch knows January isn’t for rushing.. it’s for cocooning (which is just restoring one’s self). Thankfully, @target makes my wellness intentions feel realistic and easy to step into as the New Year begins. #ad #shadesofpinck

Comment “cocoon” and I’ll share a few Target finds to help you start.

All good matriarchs know that you can’t pour into anyone else’s cup if your own isn’t full! Which is why, last year, I started the tradition of “cocooning” throughout the month of January. 🦋 SAVE THIS POST for your own journey.

Basically— I just spend the month resetting my focus, replenishing my body, and rediscovering things that inspire me so that I have the strength to get me through my annual calendar of life’s events.

I found that spending the month cocooning grounded me and gave me clarity throughout the year. So, since I’m still in my “season of becoming”, I’m sharing a cocooning guide for you to start your very own journey of metamorphosis!

New year resolutions, mom life, southern livinh, how to guide, intentional living, self-care, mental wellness, traditions, slow life, January start

If someone asked I’d say:
Like if Carrie Bradshaw lived in the South…
Or, if Blair Waldorf was a mom…
And maybe how Hilary Banks dressed for on-air interviews…
But definitely how Whitley Gilbert would dress in her 30s!

Finally sat down and thought about what I want from 2026!

Last year, I had a mission, but not many goals. So it ended up just becoming another building block. But this year— u know exactly what I want. So here are a few goals that I hope will get me there. I’m looking at this like a “contract to myself”.

What’s something you’ve promised yourself this year?!

New Year’s resolution, January, new year new me, cocooning, becoming , future matriarch, slow living, goal setting, ambitious women, southern living

Representing my community isn’t something that’s new to me— but better believe you’re gonna see a lot more of it in 2026!! 🖤

Also, just know I’m gonna always ride for the people on The Island bc when I went to nationals BOTH times they carried me on their backs and supported me like it was their job. They saw my success as theirs. So there’s nothing I won’t do to ensure the legacy of that community prospers and is carried on.
