I’m always down for a good adventure. So I was surprised that up until this trip I had never taken an airboat tour of Louisiana’s bayou. For a little over an hour we explored the bayou’s channels and passages with Airboat Adventures, frequently encountering native wildlife like gators, turtles, snakes, and a variety of birds. Like most tours, the guide kinda sets the mood and is determining factor of just how great it will be. Luckily, our guide was superb! Between his Cajun idioms and his knowledge of the trails and wildlife, he made the tour exciting, funny, and educational. He even convinced me to hold a baby gator.
If you’re in New Orleans you HAVE to take the 30 minute trip south for the tour. But don’t worry, Airboat Adventures will pick you up and drop you back off at your hotel so that transportation isn’t even a thought!
