Back in June, I met up with my beauty queen besties for our TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY trip! (At least) once a year since the summer of 2013 when we all competed for the title of Miss USA the four of us have made a point to meet up somewhere face-to-face. I would say it’s hard to believe it’s been a whole decade since we’ve been doing this, but the truth is, the four of us have been there for soooo many life-changing events over the years that it’s not so shocking that they would all add up to ten by now lol.

Lower King Street is expanding again! This time is to welcome Veronica Beard, the NYC based brand that’s known for designing clothes that are equal parts cool, classic + chic !! I have been a fan of the brand for years, even wearing their blazer to my first job interview, so I was soo excited when I first heard the news.

Veronica Beard was started by two sister-in-laws, ironically both named Veronica, who had the vision to create a dream wardrobe that works for real life.

The first Monday in May is known as the Super Bowl of fashion. The Met Gala was organized by Anna Wintour during the mid-90s. Since its creation, it has become an annual celebration of fashion, is attended by who’s who of the industry, and is watched live by millions of people around the world. The Met Gala serves as a charity event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and marks the opening of the museum’s annual fashion exhibition.

As lovers of fashion here at SoP we can’t wait to see what designers send down the runway each season. NYFW’s Fall/Winter shows just wrapped last week and let’s just say… it lived up to the hype!! Last season was the first to return to all in-person shows, but this season proved that the  fashion industry is back in full force and ready for everything life has to offer this upcoming season. Many designers like Sergio Hudson and Tanya Taylor emphasized everyday wearability, while other designers like Christopher John Rogers and LoveShackFancy followed a more whimsical and upscale theme.

This task would obviously come a lot easier if I were matching with a little girl, but I truly enjoy the thrill and search of doing it for a little boy.
