It’s hard to believe by I have been a mother for 365 days, and as cheesy as it may sound– they have been the best days of my life. Sure, there have been hard moments. There have been times when I had to make hard choices, moments, where I’ve fallen short, and opportunities I’ve had to turn down. But in the midst of lows, there have been many many highs. I’ve never known love like the one I’ve experienced over the last year.

This summer is a big transition for all of us! It’s our first one with Teagan, but more importantly it’s the season where Teagan has made the biggest changes. Long gone are the days of multiple three hour naps, or sitting still in one place. We’ve learned how to stand, pull up, crawl, and even scale furniture so now there’s nothing big enough to slow us down. There’s no doubt to anyone around him that he’ll be walking in just a matter of weeks.

We recently took Teagan on his first plane ride and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have concerns before we boarded. What if he cried the entire time? Could I trust the air on a plane during a pandemic? And how difficult would it be to travel with all of the items he needed?

Happy to report that it was a success! Not only did we survive, I think he actually enjoyed it.

I woke up that Wednesday not feeling quite like myself. I skipped out on Bible Study (which I usually try really hard not to do) and spent time resting alone until I had to run an errand + go to my hair appointment. Around mid-day, I began feeling cramps but I just powered through. My final stop was the grocery store, but walking around that old mill felt like torture, so I cut the trip short and headed home.
