Turns out happiness looks a lot like dancing in a hotel room before dinner with the man you get to build a life with!
Comment DRESS and I’ll send you a link to this dress that got sooo many compliments while in the Bahamas.

I owe so much of me to the summer of 2006, the movie ATL, and @thenotoriousbre! Hard to believe it was TWENTY years ago, but who I became that summer laid the foundation of who I am today.
Comment LINK and I’ll send you my latest Substack where I explain my latest revelation!

It’s officially “is it ok if I pop by?” season and nothing makes me happier!!
Here’s how I stay ready without staying stressed:
1. Keep one space in the house ten minutes from company-ready at all times. For me that’s the terrace — it’s the easiest reset in the house and I love my pink pots.
2. Let the serving pieces do the styling. Beautiful dishes make simple food look intentional. @mackenziechilds outdoor collection is on repeat all summer for this exact reason.
3. Stock the pantry for a 10-minute spread. Good olives, a simple dip, something cold to drink. Nobody needs to know you didn’t plan it.
The best gatherings are never the ones you spent all week preparing for anyway.
Save this for the next time someone says they’re in the neighborhood.

Turned 35 earlier this month on a pink sand beach, but I spent most of the trip doing math I wasn’t ready for.
2006 was twenty years ago. That summer was my foundation— and I finally wrote about it. I also shared an honest Harbor Island review for anyone who’s seen the pictures and wondered if it’s actually worth the trip.
Comment LINK and I’ll send you the travel guide blog post, my reflective Substack, and a shelf that contains everything I wore while we were there.

Last weekend, we hosted our second Juneteenth cookout at our house in Charleston. And we only have one rule: bring something!! A bottle, a side, some dessert…anything! Just add a little more than you take away.
Bc at the end of the day— that’s all life really requires of us, too!
Shoutout to the planning committee for the countless text messages that puts this all together: @kelly__elizabeth__ @deontedder_esq @jilly_elaine @sydneyhamer @_thepamelarenee @brittany.ora_ @lucia.pena13 @ohdevonnn
